Here I go again, just writing down my thoughts
I try to do better but keep landing on the rocks
It’s not rock bottom, I’ve been there before
To really understand yourself you first must explore
All of the possibilities where you could’ve gone wrong
Where you could’ve done better, I mean keep moving along
Because you gotta understand that it’s okay to question
Not everything is a fact, I didn’t think I’d need to mention
That the media lies, and so do your friends
That doesn’t mean that you should drop them again and again
I mean why can’t we all just be friends
Wouldn’t it be nice to sit down and pretend
That we all get along and we never go against
All the rules that we break, now I sit on the fence
To do or not to do which one will it be
Will I realize that what’s good for you might not be for me
Or will I just follow because shouldn’t we all
When you get that fresh paycheck let’s go shop at the mall
Now your drip is so wet and you can stand tall
If you didn’t get that cop you surely would fall
At least that’s what you think, we all need a shrink
But who’s the real liar: your friends or your mind
All we got in this life is a shit load of time
Just focus on yourself and don’t run too fast
Cause there’s no going back when you can’t stop to crash
You’re thinking too much you can’t even hear
All this noise in my head is the only thing I fear
But life is too short, and death is forever
Why stay inside with this wonderful weather
Go soak up the sun and be happy you’re alive
As you continue to learn you truly will strive
Be the best of the best, just for yourself
To be truly happy is the only wealth
And that’s all that matters, what else really does
All you really care about is when’s the next buzz
You need all the drugs you need all the substance
Hold yourself back before self destruction
Stop yourself now stop being consistent
Don’t you know that life is about being persistent
Build up the good habits, break down the bad
Everything that trends was once just a fad
There’s no reason to be sad there’s no need to worry
Life might be short but there’s no need to hurry
There’s no trophy at the end, it’s all just death
So what if the next day you took your last breath
Would you rush to your loved ones or run to the store
Would you try to find love or pick up a whore
Me and you are like the sky to the floor
I’ll fly up real high and you’ll wash up on the shore
No need for the beef I just had to say
That life isn’t about all you can do in a day
Don’t take it for granted
Too many of us do
I’m sitting here chanting
There’s no one better but you.
