The voices keep on talking they continue to be debatable
It’s hatable how you continue to enable
All these bad habits that have been misguided with labels

Are the reasons we continue to drag them with us as we drag each other down

Or better yet put it on ourself

Although we’ve still been proven wrong
Look at all the artists
That be writing all the songs
Missing the bullseye on the targets

Cause they’re in the wrong department
You’ve gotta trace back where you started
To pick up on the stardust, or maybe it was the snow
But whatever you had called it, it was taking too many blows

I would hope that you knew about all who you could trust
Don’t let yourself combust, you’re better than you think
The truth is when you don’t have confidence you sink

When they say you’ll sink or swim you miss the idea
That you’ll need to pick up a lot so you can climb here

I’m right here where I need to be so I sit with curiosity
Observing and reserving all of my animosity

Because it’s never worth it we think we should be perfect
But if it’s worth it then it’s hard if you want to go so far
Then it doesn’t matter how high the bar trust you’ll hit a star
Maybe you won’t hit Orion’s Belt but graze my homie Pisces
You talk down on yourself so you seem really feisty

But practice makes perfect although there’s no such thing
