Most people don’t understand me, thinking I’m care free
While I’m trying to stay true I meditate daily
The future scares me and my mind prepares me
For anything that might go left I’m prepared to see
To go through the motions to make this life potent
I’m just roller coasting up and down see the quotient
The energy that divides and so I go and confide
In me, myself and I the only people I can rely on
Although I know that there’s loyalty in family
I believe that but I also know that life ain’t fair see
Cause one day they got you the next day they don’t
I don’t want to overflow but that’ll rock your boat
You won’t see it coming especially when you’re down and out
You’ve got a smile on your face so what are you sad about

What’s on your mind
It’s all the time bugging while you’re running to the function
Cause you feel so behind

There really is no function, it’s all in your head
The only person pushing you is laying in your bed
I’m not talking about the chick you picked up last night
I’m talking about the voices in your head while they fight
When you don’t know right from wrong
Never feel like you belong
You just gotta move along
Bring the peace, don’t be a pawn
Play your own, be the king to your castle
Sometimes it’s a hassle but go ahead and play your role unless they cast you

Cast you for a player maybe for the coach
Legends never die like a Big Mac or a roach
Understand your oath, the values you hold dearly
Don’t fear me, I want you to see my vision clearly
It’s the truancy when you see me fluently
Coming up with some English words it’s still new to me
You see cause I didn’t start until last year
Or the year before I hope that you hear
All my words cause I was too afraid to shout
Too afraid to be myself, I was down and out
