No Direction

I find myself drifting, floating away from dry land
I always felt I had direction, a draft amongst the plan
I found what I had felt was right at the time being
And now I find the change occurring from all that I am seeing

The more you see the less you know, expanding your horizon
I find myself always morphing, changing while I’m rising
To the top of what I thought I sought out as the peak
Truthfully the truth you see is hardly what you seek

We seek the stimulation, and the optimal potential
We find ourselves “stranded” as we accomplish these credentials
As you eat your appetite grows so that we hold some more
The void that’s found is hardly locked, it’s always opened for

You to walk, me to escort, as we obtain some facts
Burying the knowledge that we had into the back
Stored inside the files while our storage is expanding
Leave behind the thoughts that rise so that we can manage

All that may come our way our life is never ending
Twists and turns, bumps and bruises supplied while we’re demanding
Answers to the questions, revolving doors in hopes of landing
Upon the promised land as we drift into our standing
