The Door I Left Wide Open

In the spotlight I’m sweating
Nervous and now forgetting
I started this Armageddon
The invasion I had to let in

For feelings I had to settle in
Life’s a bike I’m pedaling
A rose grew from concrete
I watched as if I knew within

The cycle is repetitive
Arms can only stretch so thin
A lotus grew from mud
I knew that I had to begin

To learn to move with the wind
A saint can’t be without sin
The door I left wide open
Hoping that you’d walk in

First you lose and then you win
If it happened once it can again
I know I have my savage ways
But overall I’m a gentleman

The room I’m in begins to spin
What once was lost I’m now finding
It might not be right now
But the door is still wide open
