It’s Just a Monday

If I try too hard then I’ll only make mistakes
If I don’t try at all I don’t have what it takes
When I’m steady with the hand and I ease on the break
I’m ready with a stance to demand me a plate

I got a date, and you won’t know her name
I can’t blame you it’s your life it’s the risks that you take
Take shame away and strip down to an egoless state
If fate was always late then there were never mistakes

I’ve got all that I need and more thoughts that I feed
And I proceed to lead you into the water into the sea
I can’t leave you I’m the author to a martyr in deeds
I believe that you are harmless but it’s part of the seed

Part of the plan that unfolds like a book that you read
I’ve got a story for another time to tell you indeed
For now, it’s just a Monday and I hardly agree
With the negativity although it’s also part of me

The seesaw tips the scale because of an instance
There’s a tale that’s old as time and it’s called reminiscing
I dare you to begin to make your own decisions
You give an inch, they take a mile but never go the distance

It’s ironic, the best advice is the topic
We’ve all got toxic traits I contemplate finding new optics
We all can opt in to options and subscribe to the gossip
Or we can decide that the logic is all part of the process

The key to the city or the key to your heart
At least for now I’ll choose sweet sensations over the tart
Explanations of fate and satan with Rene Descartes
I’m impatient but waiting while I’m creating this art
